Welcome Bruce Crowes
Coming from South Wales, a now Bristol based self-confessed type addict, Bruce Crowes has many hairs to his brush. Starting his career as a graphic designer and illustrator, coming to the city opened his eyes to the already well established street art culture and he soon had a can of paint in his hand.
Over the last few years he has started to lean towards the craft and guild of traditional sign painting, understanding the true rights and wrongs to letterforms and the way to convey the information clearly and concisely.
Bruce Crowes has been involved in many projects, ranging from small Bristol based bars and Cornish pop-up eateries, to leading large scale projects such as the design and advertising for Brisfest 2010, and collaborating with his childhood hero England goalkeeper David James on the Ashton Gate Football Stadium mural.
“I just love the way Bristol folk appreciate the value of art, in every sense of the word. It’s a city that breeds creativity and it oozes from every little alleyway, street, shopfront and ghost sign fading on high redbrick buildings of businesses long forgotten. Grimy and beautiful in equal measure”
Bruce is currently working on something very special exclusively for Bristol Art Collective. More info coming soon…..
